Art
I specialize in ceramics, stained glass, and woodburning art—each form requiring years of practice and dedication to master. Every curve, color, and detail in my creations represents a journey of creativity and technique, reflecting the skill and patience that go into bringing these pieces to life. Whether it’s the flow of a ceramic vase, the vibrant colors of stained glass, or the intricate designs in woodburning, my work is a true expression of my passion for art. I love sharing my creations and collaborating with clients on custom commissions to make each piece truly personal and meaningful. Let’s work together to create something beautiful!
Ceramics
Every piece of my ceramics is a labor of love, handbuilt or wheel-thrown by me. Each creation goes through a delicate process, beginning with wedging raw clay and creating a form at a specific level of moisture. Next comes careful trimming as it dries to just the right stage. After thoroughly drying, it undergoes its first bisque firing. It is then thoughtfully glazed before heading back into the kiln for a second high-temp firing. The journey from start to finish can take over a month, ensuring each piece is unique and made to last.
Stained Glass
Creating stained glass is an intricate and time-consuming process. Each piece starts with a carefully planned design, mapped out on vibrant colored glass. Using glass cutting tools, I shape and grind each piece to perfection. After washing and lining the pieces with copper foil, they are pinned in place, coated with flux, and soldered on both sides with precise beading. Once assembled, the piece is washed again and waxed for a long-lasting shine. This detailed process is both labor-intensive and costly, but the result is a stunning, one-of-a-kind work of art.
Woodburning
Woodburning is a delicate and detailed art form. Each design is first created and transferred onto the wood using carbon paper. Then, with metal tips heated to high temperatures, I burn the design into the wood, carefully crafting each line and texture. The tricky part is that there’s no erasing in woodburning, making precision key. The final piece is completed with hanging hardware and can be sealed for extra protection, offering a personalized and timeless creation.
